How to leave a campaign group safely if needed
Launch library · evergreen read

Leaving a group can feel difficult, particularly after significant time or emotional investment, but a genuinely healthy group will respect that decision without requiring an extended justification or attempting to talk you out of it repeatedly. That respect for your decision is itself a sign of a genuinely healthy group worth having joined.
If leaving feels unsafe or difficult in itself, seeking support from someone outside the group, a trusted friend, family member or an appropriate outside service, can help you plan a departure that protects your own wellbeing throughout the process. Planning that departure calmly tends to make it considerably easier.
Recognising that leaving is always a legitimate choice, regardless of how much time you have already given, is an important safeguard, since no cause, however worthwhile, should require someone to stay involved against their own genuine wishes. No cause is worth staying somewhere that genuinely no longer feels safe to you.
